In our classroom, we live by the quote: "What will YOU do to make the world awesome?" We are hoping to use these UNICEF power bands as a way to empower our kids. As students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, they will not only benefit from the motivation to exercise, but they will make the world awesome by feeding other children in need. Struggling academically can make students feel isolated, that there is nothing they can do right. These bands would give my students the opportunity to make a difference in a place that often brings discouragement and disappointment- school.
