Comfy floor seating allows students to choose a place to get comfortable and read a book and allows them to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent reading time, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently, my students are choosing to read in a variety of locations in our room such as: at different tables, sitting under tables, or sitting or laying on the floor. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them to read. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and read more than when they are just sitting at their desk. My students seem to love to read more when they can choose where they can sit and read independently. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make wise choices. The Comfy Floor Seats will give my students a fun new place to read this year and years to come. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need a little more incentive to read. They can also be used as a reward if needed! The comfy floor seats are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.
