By providing my students with flexible seating choices, such as wobble chairs, I am allowing my students have a chance to focus better in the classroom while they do their work. This not only leads to better behaviors, but more learning. According to many sources of research, children with ADD/ADHD are able to stay on task longer if they are able to move while they are working. Of the flexible seating options I have already offered my students, I have seen great success. My students are calmer, quieter, and on task more than when I have them sit in conventional chairs and desks. I cannot wait to give them more choices in the classroom to enhance their learning.
