These materials will get my students excited about reading! We have been learning about non-fiction books and having books such as Community Helpers, as well as National Geographic readers will spark their interest. Having leveled readers for my student will allow students to read a variety of books on their level. Having actual books to hold instead of black and white copies will engage my little readers, and help use reading strategies. My students love coming to guided reading but instruction time is being wasted with the transition of students bringing their own chair to my table. Having an organized guided reading areas with maximize instruction. My first graders love books, and this project would get just right books into their hands. Instilling the love of reading!
