If I get these supplies, I'll design escape room activities. Students will practice skills that they've already learned and then use the answers to get clues. Those clues will give them the codes for the locks I'm requesting which they can will use to open the toolboxes. Inside the toolbox will be new puzzles or clues which will lead them to more difficult practice skills. Inside the box may be a UV flashlight that they can use to get instructions for the next step that have been written with the invisible ink. Some lockboxes might require unlocking several locks which are all attached using the hasp. As they work to get inside the final locked box, they'll also be working to improve their minds! I've always loved puzzles, but the best puzzles are ones that need to be manipulated or moved to be solved. I requested supplies for 4 sets of materials so that I can have multiple groups working at the same time in my classroom. This will be a school-wide set, that I will loan out to other teachers to use as well.
