I am extremely passionate about making accommodations for the individual needs of my students. These needs range from inattention, hyperactivity, and differing learning styles as well. I have noticed that flexible seating allows my students to focus in an environment that feels right to them and helps them learn in a way that keeps them on task but comfortable as they work. Through flexible seating my students will be able to to chose an area/seating option in the classroom to go and work on independent classwork and to work on activities during guided math and guided reading centers. My teaching style allows students to get up and move and work hands on in all subject areas. With flexible seating donated to our classroom my students will benefit from different seating options (such as seating that works on stability and also controls wiggling) during independent work and instruction time.
