My students are working on learning a second language, while also building their college and leadership skills. While students are at the adventure park, they will have the opportunity to learn how to effectively collaborate, find solutions, and communicate all while speaking and listening in English. Many of our students are new to the country and have not even had the opportunity to explore outside of the surrounding area of the school. Many factors limit our students' ability to access resources and places within the greater DFW area. Giving them the opportunity to not only practice their college and leadership skills, but to also expand their experiences will help them to maintain motivation to be outstanding leaders in our community. This particular group of students always goes above and beyond in their daily learning and are always grateful for any opportunity or resource given to them. Your generosity would make a difference in the lives of these students and would be an investment in the growing optimism of my language learners.
