I want my students to understand the demand for food and energy production is at a critical point and the benefits of going and growing green are extremely important. The Lab-Aids™ Investigating Plant Macronutrients Using Hydroponics kit will amaze students by helping them understand plants can actually grow in a solution of macronutrients. My students will grow a variety of seed to determine which are the best for hydroponics. Students will be able to make the connection that plants can be grown indoors with artificial light by combining the hydroponic lab activities(paragraph 1) with lessons in light using the Optical Bench. As our society moves from carbon-based fuels to electricity, I want my students to understand the potential for electric-powered equipment on the farm. The Solar Powered Car, the Kit Toy Motor S/12, and the Generator Hand Powered Genecon 12V will be used by students to learn how electricity flows through wires, how angles of the sun affect the amount of energy collected (solar-powered car), and compare the electricity produced by the sun and by the hand powered generator. Please help me by supporting this generation of future high tech farmers by donating to this project. I know my students will not only have fun to learn science hands-on, but they will also begin to dream of future possibilities in real green farming. Thank you for your support.
