  • Teaching Made Visual

    Funded Apr 19, 2019

It was so amazing to learn that you gave my class such a generous donation. I really thought nobody would donate to our project. It was such a surprise to see that you fully funded the project. The document camera will such an asset to my class. The camera will be used daily and will really help the students excel and develop their social studies skills. We cannot thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gregory

  • New Supplies to Help Students Learn History

    Funded Jan 3, 2019

I cannot express enough how grateful I for your donation. My class was so excited to hear that our project was founded and was even more thrilled to have new supplies. The students absolutely love using their new supplies, and even enjoy being able to laminate their work.

The supplies that were donated have helped tremendously in preparing the students for the New York State Regents exam. The color bright paper have been a big help in color coding unit vocabulary for the students to use in their centers. In addition, the folders that were purchased has also been helpful in keeping the students work organized.

Your donation has helped my students in being more focused in class. By having access to materials like pens and paper, the students are able to come in and get right to work. We no longer have to go searching for basic materials.

Again, I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations. A little does go a long way.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gregory

These basic school supplies will help my students in learning and immersing themselves in the study of history. These basic supplies are not so easily obtained by many of my students. Since many of my kids come from low-income families they struggle to afford or replace school supplies. Although I do my best to provide such materials for my students, I do not always have the time and means to buy the materials my students need in order to succeed. Having this project funded would go a long way and my kids can start the new year strong. My students and I will use the supplies daily in our quest to learn about the story of mankind. The pens and lined paper will be used for the kids to take notes, annotate documents, and construct essays. By having access to pens and paper the students, not myself will not have to spend time looking for materials but can use the time to complete history related tasks. The astrobright paper and the laminating paper will be used for social studies centers. The astrobright paper will be used for vocabulary centers in which students can learn and recall new words by completing vocabulary sort activities. The laminating paper will be used for pictures and task sheets for students to examine throughout various lessons. All of the supplies will go toward my students having a productive and successful year.
