Spanish Books: I have a lot of ESL students in my class. Learning another language, let alone, being in another country can be daunting. By having books in their language, the student tends to acclimate and feel at ease in this new learning environment. It also opens the door to them teaching others about their culture and promotes inclusivity and bonding. All of which promotes better learning and diversity. Nonfiction Books - Nonfiction Reading Promotes Student Success. Statically, the average students spend more time on video games and sci-fi-than they do understanding the world around them. Non-fiction books will help to inspire and encourage students to develop comprehension of their world and increase overall background knowledge. Digital Scales - multiple scales will allow me to pair/interchange groups of students and build on skills such as collaboration, address scientific measurements, and graphing. Interactive Globe - Learning is discovering. STEM toys encourage kids to critically think, explore problem-solving and fine-tune motor skills through interactive play. All other items in my cart are to create a safe, stimulating, organize classroom community.
