Students these days are used to getting immediate gratification. School isn’t all about giving instant gratification. Sometimes you just have to dig in and learn. In these times, there are often several students in my class who struggle with staying on task. Sometimes this is because they are unable to stay still for extended periods of time. These stools allow students ability to move around in several directions while staying focused on the work. I tell my students that I only want their best work. I honestly believe this will be great for the students who really need that freedom to stay on task. Additionally, some students prefer to sit on the floor while working on an assignment. The wiggle cushions will be so much more comfortable than sitting on the concrete floor.
