A class set will allow all readers in my classes to interact with the text and the characters. It will allow them to read and re-read the passages as we intertwine writing, cultural analysis and history together. Last year we had only 2 copies and needed to use the projector at all times. With a class set, we will be better able to engage in a literature study in large and small groups, as well as at the individual level. Students will be better equipped to engage in text to text comparisons as well with other primary and secondary sources.
