In today's technology-driven world, student need hands-on encounters with relevant, modern equipment to be prepared for college and careers. Aiding SVHS Theatre, Film, and Video Production in getting a lighting system will help our students create unique lighting effects in their films and scenes and learn how to manipulate current technologies. Our auditorium and studio are woefully out of date, featuring many lighting instruments that are unsafe, beyond repair, or simply insignificant for the training and knowledge students need when they go into television, film, and/or theatre beyond our walls. We hope to provide students with this equipment so they can create films and theatre more effectively. They will also have the hands-on training and experience they need to gain comfort with new technologies that will be relevant in their post-graduation pursuits.
