The 4th grade classes I teach are mostly from a low socio-economic backgrounds. Many of them are encouraged and supported in meaningful ways in the classroom. They will excel in writing and reading when they have a sense of pride, and a sense of really being supported by their teacher and the community. They can get this message of support, and feel the freedom to create great works when they can hold in their hands a product which they created, and which looks professional. We call this publishing.

About my class
