In our math class, my students and I work in small groups for more individualized instruction and remediation. Our current table was found in a discard pile due to a bent leg. Our table stands, but it leans and wobbles and sometimes falls when we sit around it. My students love working with me in a small group, but we have had to get creative with solutions to mend our current table. With a horseshoe table, I could sit in the middle of several students to learn as a group. We could focus on math instead of holding up our table! Small group instruction is vital in helping students who would otherwise struggle in a larger class setting!
