My students are resilient, strong and inspiring. However, like many of us, my students need space and time to properly work through their feelings. I am in the process of building a classroom which helps my students not only with their academic growth. but with their socio emotional growth as well. Flexible seating and tools for self expression such as white board markers can help me provide the resources needed for my students on this journey. My vision is to create a visually and physically calming reflection corner in my classroom where students can advocate for their socio-emotional needs.
