They say that education is the great equalizer and I firmly believe it. However, not all education is the same. In a world where technology is at the forefront, most schools are lacking in technology. I don't mean laptops, I mean iPads. Students respond so much better to iPads because it is the way our current society and education functions. My class is currently working on a STEAM project where they will have to do individual research on using renewable resources. There is not enough laptops nor iPads for each student. I believe if I had the extra 5 laptops it would benefit their research and their ability to learn. Kids are eager to learn. They just need the right supplies.
