This year we have decided to start teaching math in a more hands-on way. We have purchased materials that will allow students to have more real-life experiences when learning math, because we know that this is what gets children excited about learning. They are measuring dry rice and beans to learn about conversions, and timing each other doing jumping jacks to learn about elapsed time. The kids love the new interactive math program. For this program, you can either purchase the workbooks, or print out the pages and make copies for the students. We did not have the $14,000 we needed to buy the books, so we went with making copies. We tried to have students keep the materials in folders, but it is not working out very well. We need the book binding machine and combs so that our copies stay neat and organized. Please help us.
