Students in my school have limited access to art materials and processes. My project will focus on integrating the elements of art including: line, color, texture, shape, space, form, and value. The students will learn all these concepts while making original prints. The prints will be created by using a jelly plate, think of jell-o giggler but slightly firmer, brayers, paint and objects to etch lines and textures, as well as stencils for great instantly gratifying art. All of the students in the school will be using these materials. The art they create, which will be mono prints, printed paper for collages similar to illustrations found in Eric Carle books, 3-d models created from the prints will be displayed throughout the school bulletin boards and for a final virtual art show in a digital format. Every student will have a slide show of the school year projects. All students in the school will participate.
