The two Lenovo laptops that I have chosen for my students will have multiple uses in the classroom. My students' abilities to become more proficient in listening, speaking, reading and writing are directly related to the kinds of opportunities given them. They will use the laptops to listen to various stories online and answer comprehension questions. My younger students can use the laptops to listen to Alphabet and Math songs, Sight word songs and lessons, as well as stories that will assist in their listening/comprehension skills. The Lenovo Laptops have an amazing attribute, which allows students to record themselves and play back the recording to reflect on their speaking progress. It also gives them a sense of confidence and success, as they move towards speaking proficiency. Having two more laptops in the class would mean more of my students would be able to read online. Reading comprehension is a vital part of our language program, as it is a critical skill for all students to have. In addition, they could write their essays on the computer. They feel confident and accomplished when they read and write more fluently. Having two more laptops in our classroom would really help my students improve their skills and build up their linguistic proficiency in all required areas. Your Lenovo Laptops donation will make a huge difference in my ability to include more students in using technology to further their language skills.
