My students have shown a great interest in developing and animated characters for their own video games. Many of them would love to illustrate, animate, and code their own creations. In order to do this, we need drawing tablets. Although I have been teaching visual art to middle schoolers for 18 years now, I always try to keep up with modern advances in visual arts. I research and learn ways in which modern movies and video games are created. I try to expose my students to future career paths they may want to pursue based on the interests they express.
