These books will allow students to take ownership over their reading and build a relationship with books that will last a lifetime. The skills learned in book club are some that will support their endeavors in college and beyond. These books will also allow students to read genres they normally would not, at their own reading level. Books Clubs push students to interact with each other and develop ideas they never would in isolation. My students already have a strong love for reading, but this will bring it to greater heights. The books I am asking for are also part of a series. This will excite students to continue reading and making connections.
