My students are lost when it comes to geography, and it shows up on tests. This year they have to take a big state exam at the end of the year, where they will have to be able to read a map and be able to also discuss how geography affects certain events. They are having an issue being able to do this without the visual posted consistently. It is just a fact that they just don't remember anything from 6th grade social studies. I am trying to give them a leg up for the test and in life. We do weekly world events and knowing where these places are using the requested wall map will help them have more concrete thoughts.
