I am requesting a class set of ukuleles. The modern band movement in the elementary classroom is a shift that is happening in music classrooms all across the country. The days of a music teacher sitting at a piano and simply singing with the kids are over. The use of guitar, ukulele, keyboard, and drums in an elementary music classroom are becoming commonplace. With these ukuleles, my students will have the opportunity to participate in a more modern and relevant musical experience. They will learn how to play chords and accompany themselves while singing a wide variety of popular songs spanning from Taylor Swift all the way to The Beatles!

About my class
