My Reading intervention students struggle to read 2 to 3 years below grade level. Reading instruction in the classroom has not been successful and my students must be given other opportunities to learn how to read with a different approach. Multistory instruction is a way of teaching that engages more than one sense at a time. For students with reading issues like dyslexia, the use of sight, hearing, movement and touch can be helpful for learning. Foam Sensory Paint allows students to use sight and touch too connect letters and their sounds. Alphabetic bowling will allow students to use movement and kinesthetic awareness.
