Students often have a difficult time talking out loud about their feelings or what is happening in their world. If they are able to write them down or draw pictures of them it can lead to a better understanding of what they are feeling and thinking. Having notebooks for students to express themselves will lead to meaningful conversations and a better understanding of their world. Students will have access to express their world in the way that works best for them. By writing or drawing their thoughts and feelings. We can use their words and pictures to further our conversations.
