I want to create an outdoor reading option for my students. They are in need of some "off-screen" time, where learning can still occur. Breathing in the fresh air and social distancing is readily available in our beautiful state of Florida. I would like to give my students the opportunity to grab their portable seat, individual clipboard and book baggie to journey out our front door into a shady area to sit outside and read, discuss and write about their text. I will use the paper to copy digital books, so each student may keep their own text, inside their individual book baggies. Once the paper book is no longer needed, they may take them home to keep. The versatile portable seats may also be used indoors if needed. This is the first part of a larger vision for this outdoor area.
