Manipulatives are a crucial part of kindergarten, these materials allow my students to consider concepts that were otherwise abstract and evolve to form concrete comprehension of the skill or standard at hand. These materials also provide opportunities for social skills and spacial reasoning which also improves their vocabulary. Also, given the demographics of the students in our school community, hands-on learning materials are a luxury that are not provided at home due to lack of resources. These items are sure to inspire my students to aspire for academic success, and it is my pleasure to offer it to them to see the beams from each of my little lights.
