With the use of leveled readers, students are able to read the text and also be challenged. We would use these in a small group setting where I can listen in and have a conversation with them about what they are reading. It is very important for students to read books in a language that they understand. For that reason I have included Spanish books that they would read for pleasure. I have some in English, and the kids LOVE them. My Spanish selection is limited and would love to expand it. The Time magazines would be used to read on relevant events that they would be interest in.
