My students are typically more successful learning with hands-on activities. When they begin "playing" with materials, it is not too long before they "discover" what all they can do. When they discover what the material can be used for, they are ready to begin looking for to ways to apply what they have learned. The STEM kit Science Stations - K-Gr. 1 - Complete Set, I have requested will enable the students to explore properties of magnets, the attributes of objects that sink or float, and motion and how we can use it. These are difficult concepts for my students to grasp, but having materials readily available and time for them to explore as "reward" time will provide a jump start to learning.
