Coming back from online learning at such a young age, made my students eager to learn, listen and grab books. Although I had some books that I had purchased, students love to grab books and look at the pictures, turn the pages and try to read stories. One or twice a day, we all sit at our desk, I play relaxing music, and grab a book for all students to listen. Due to my students disabilities, its hard for some of them to identify emotions or feelings from others. I use stories and the character's feeling to show them how they feel. Some students are ELD and/or non-verbal, therefore, looking at pictures, helps them identify feeling and emotions. After we listen to the story, I create a visual art activity that include fine motor activities to summarized the story.
