The use of flexible seating is starting to enter all classrooms. We currently have a bean bag chair and a lounge chair to work in. My students work more efficiently when they are comfortable. My class loves to move around the room to finish any work they have. With more flexible seating, it will give our class options for where they can learn best. We have already implemented the flexible seating in our classroom and it has had such a positive response! Our classroom is big with no windows, so we have four walls to place all of our new flexible seating. We have reading area that will host the beanbags. We also have low desks that the students love to sit on their knees at. The floor seats will help them be more comfortable while they learn. The wobble chairs and balance balls will be at the other desks/tables to that they may wobble and bounce while still paying attention. My students and I would appreciate any donations that are sent to us to help fund our project.
