We would like a bean bag chair in our school counseling room, which will provide a fun, comfortable, and supportive space for students to relax and focus. The bean bag chair works well for a variety of students at all grade levels because it can be molded into a comfortable position no matter the student size. In addition, the bead filling provides extra support for students, which is important because studies have shown that proper support is beneficial for the growth of elementary aged children's bones and muscles as they proceed to grow. Eliminating restlessness caused by discomfort in a hard standard chair will mean that the students are able to concentrate better, focusing all their attention on our social and emotional lessons. A bean bag chair can help improve the learning experience for our younger generation to a high level. Their concentration levels increase, encouraging better academic and social emotional progress. Ergonomically, the bean bags create better posture and comfort. Students enjoy having something comfortable to sit on for the counseling room environment as well as having stress balls to pass out during the school day, which help relieve stress and anxiety. The students can utilize both of these tools to improve their own mindfulness and work towards their learning goals.
