The laptops will give my students the ability to be more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers by being able to work independently and at their own pace. They will be able to choose activities that I have previously selected to increase skills and strategies in math and reading. My students are economically disadvantaged with home technology access and they must acquire technology skills from the classroom. In my classroom the laptops will be used daily to reach each students learning style to increase self-esteem as well as their academics. They will be used in learning stations, small group activities, research and self selected reading.
