Offering flexible seating in my classroom will give my students choices of a variety of different, fun seat options. Having choices in where they sit, gives them some control over their learning environment which increases focus and learning. During independent work times, I want my students to be able to choose locations in the classroom that work for them and make them feel most comfortable. When students are most comfortable in their learning environment, they are more motivated to learn and make smart choices. I have selected a variety of seating options that will best meet my students needs. Balance Ball seats will be used at the small group table, as well as an alternative seating option. The comfy floor seats and wobble chairs are other options my students can choose from to while learning each day.
