My students love working with electronic devices in the classroom. The students use them daily to enrich their understanding of math objectives, explore findings in science, and review concepts taught in class using engaging Apps, educational videos, and resources found on the web. Our school is located just west of Houston, Texas in a suburb called Katy. Katy is a large district with a diverse population. My students would be thrilled to have more electronic devices at their disposal in the classroom. The devices would allow them to fully participate and receive immediate feedback using games such as Kahoot and Quizizz. Our grade level has outdated iPads that no longer can be updated and therefore need to be replaced. At the end of this year we will lose 54% of our grade level iPads. This will directly impact student engagement and my students will not have the opportunity to participate in classroom activities all at the same time. In addition, our entire area was directly hit by hurricane Harvey last year as our area and district recover from it's aftermath. My students and school would appreciate any help you can offer.
