My students work hard. They like to play hard, too. But sometimes, recess needs to be more low-key. We live in New England, and it's simply not possible to go outside for a large part of the year. Gym time is carefully scheduled, split between every grade K-8, and this means a lot of our recess time is spent in our homeroom. My students have been asking me to make a game closet, so we will have more stuff to do on those days when we are trapped inside. I'm asking the internet to help. I'd love to come back from Winter Break and announce that our Board Game Club is a reality! All the games I'm requesting are ones my students have specifically asked for. All of them are age-appropriate. And with luck and care, all of them will last beyond just this year.
