My students need to have things in their hands to keep them calm. Clay, building blocks, kinetic sand, and many more sensory items will help my students stay in class and access many parts of their brains. Students of Paradise and Magalia need to start healing by touching and playing with sensory items and games. Helping my students with special needs acquire these items will be very beneficial to their social and emotional well being. Clay is very beneficial for my students. Modeling with clay helps with head, heart and mind education. When you put items in students hands and they don't have to look at you directly when speaking, something magical happens and they start to open up to talk.
