Headphones are a must in our digital classroom. At any given moment, our classroom is engaged with 3 to 5 different activities at once. Some of those activities include listening to audio books, eBooks or educational apps on devices. We have tried to use ear buds but trust me, no one wants to use earbuds after someone else. Not only are they unsanitary, they have a very short shelf life. Providing students with the opportunities to increase vocabulary and build comprehension is essential in any English/Language Arts class. We know that listening to stories helps increase fluency and boosts student's reading confidence. The 3 Flex-Space Comfy seating allow students to sit comfortably on flexible seats while they listen to eBooks or Audio books using headphones without disrupting other students at work. The materials I am requesting will be ready for student use straight out of the box. Furthermore, the headphones and the flexible seating are durable and will be used by my students this year and for years to come. The request may seem small but the impact to student learning will be immense.
