Engaging math activities can motivate and allow students to have fun while learning state standards, but are often hard to plan when we do not have the supplies to help students complete them. Things like rulers and colored pencils can help the math come alive on paper. We recently completed a Stained Glass Window Activity by plotting linear equations, but had a rough time completing the activity due to students having to share the few rulers that I had. With adequate supplies students would be more engaged and not focused on waiting for their turn to use the needed supplies. This helps students learning and students behavior in class.
