Right now we have tape where they sit and they fiddle with it, pull it up and stick it on themselves or on another person. This carpet will be a life-saver for giving the students a visual to help create their own body bubble. I cannot tell you how much this will help in the early stage of classroom management. We are starting over from day 1 and this carpet will be the beginning of establishing a routine for instruction and procedures. The carpet will help the kids by giving them a visual seat to stay in while we have our "come together" times. Having designated seating areas while at the carpet will reinforce where they should be and what they should be doing and strengthening our behaviors during this time.
