I teach in a special education self-contained classroom. Providing flexible seating in my classroom, will give my students the opportunity to have the sensory input that they need during their learning. In my classroom, my students disabilities vary but all seek sensory orientated learning throughout their school day. This will benefit their engagement, participation, and sensory needs. I strongly believe that flexible seating will provide a better learning environment for my students. With what I currently have in my classroom, my students are always wanting to sit in different seats but with not having enough flexible seating for each student, they have to take turns. Having a flexible seat for every student would give the same opportunity for all. My students would love having a flexible seat EVERYDAY in their school day.
