Scholastic News and Science Spin magazine will continue to enhance the print rich classroom that I strive to create. These magazines are visually appealing, interactive, and highly engaging. My students love to read these magazines independently, in small groups, whole group, and digitally too! The current events provided in the magazine make reading fun. Students are excited and look forward to reading them every week! With these magazines, my students will be able to read from a variety of articles that will allow them to build nonfiction reading skills and increase content-area knowledge. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more and these magazines will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences and their knowledge of social studies and science with printed as well as digital magazines.
