These books will help my current and future students discover a love for learning, develop stronger literacy skills, and hear stories about people in need of having their voices lifted up. We will use literature circles to delve deep into the story to enhance student learning and brainstorm how they, as sixth grade students, could support real people in similar situations. This will also springboard students' brainstorming on other social justice issues for which they may want to advocate. Help this new generation become inspired to be social justice warriors. Your support is truly appreciated and will touch many students to come.
