“Books are a uniquely portable magic.” – Stephen King. My current classroom library is lacking a certain magic. By replacing our disheveled bookshelf with a more organized cube storage system, students can be free to use their voice and choice. They can spend less time rifling through an overwhelming stack of books looking for what they want and dive right into the magic. Having new bookshelves for better organization will make this possible. With new lighting and comfy floor seats to settle in, students can forget the silly distractions and focus on the enjoyment of reading! The reading nook would not be complete without a colorful rug. The library is not just a room or an area, it's a time machine, a means of teleportation to another world. I want to give my students an inviting and comfortable space to explore. I want them to be excited about going to the library and eager to pick out their books.
