There have been times in our school that we were unable to visit the computer lab due to testing. Having technology in the classroom would prevent this from happening in the future. These tablets will be utilized during centers, so that the students can practice letter and sight word recognition. Our school uses mobymax and GOMath to help bridge the gaps in each student's learning. These tablets would be able to give differentiated help through these applications. The tablets could also help our students learn how to take care of technology throughout the school at an early age. Once the students understand how to care for these tools, they can use applications and websites, such as EPIC!, to build on their verbal and writing vocabulary.
