Do you remember ever reading a book that you just didn't want to put down? You had to keep reading to find out how it ends, and even then, you still had questions in your mind about all the events leading up to that ending. Ghost, by Jason Reynolds, is one of those books that once started, can't be put aside. I want to see my 6th graders reading this book, and having to pry it out of their hands when the bells rings. There are few books that elicit enough excitement from my students to make them want to keep reading. I feel like this book will really spark some motivation for even my most reluctant readers. Please help me fund my project so that my kids can develop a love for reading by hearing a story about a character with which they might relate.
