Magnetic doodle boards help develop fine motor skills that are needed for writing, drawing, fun, or just doodling. Pattern shapes help students learn shapes while introducing geometry terms. They encourage fine motor at the same time allowing children express themselves creatively. Counting ice cream cones is a fine motor manipulative and number builder. They are perfect for 1-to-1 correspondence with numbers with numerals 1-10. Alphabet zoo is for my animal loving students to build letter recognition and vocabulary. The woodworking building materials are for those that are builders. It will let their imaginations go wild, while developing fine motor skills and increasing vocabulary. Play is an important part of childhood development. Through play children learn about shapes, cause and effect, along with about themselves. Besides cognitive thinking, play helps children learn social and psychomotor skills. It is a way of communicating joy, fears, likes, and dislikes. Children are able to explore their world and express their innermost thoughts and feelings and hopes without the fear of failure. Functions of play reinforce the child's growth and development.
