The materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they are learning to write through prewriting, collecting information, planning/organizing, drafting, revising and editing their writing in order to publish their best work. The published work will help them improve as writers and motivate them to continue to write from various genres of writing. Being able to use the highlighters will help these students edit and revise their writing by highlighting things such as figurative language, descriptive words, etc. This project will inspire students to continue to become effective writers, possibly become authors and/or motivational speakers through their powerful words.
