I am requesting resources to build a sensory corner within my classroom that students can use when they feel dis-regulated, frustrated or are having trouble calming their bodies. It will be a positive space for the students to feel safe and it will help them take charge of their bodies and their environment. Donating to this project will benefit many students in the present and future. Bright lights, sounds, and smells can be completely overwhelming to children who have sensory needs or behavior issues. This space will be a spot for them to feel safe and secure for just few minutes time and help them self-regulate to their surroundings. Please consider donating to our project!
